I may have included something to offend everyone this week. Just to be on the safe side I think I will ask the editor to remove my phone number from the tag line.

I asked my wife, one sister and both daughters to review this submission before I emailed it in. All felt it was truthful and right to the point. I have written about most of the subject matter in the past but somehow I still think that it will appear to be a little radical to some people when shown in this compiled and condensed format. I will let you be the judge.

 We are taught to be greedy and to call it ambition.

We pollute Earth's tranquillity with engine noise, and engine exhausts and call it fun and recreation.

We further pollute the air as we travel far and wide and call it rest and relaxation.

We drink ourselves into a blind stupor and call it fun.

We adorn ourselves with shiny bits of stone and shiny metal and call it prosperity.

We corrupt our food with hormones, insecticides, herbicides, antibiotics, drugs, nitrates, nitrites, and dyes, and call it nutrition.

We decimate the forests, the land, the air and the seas, and call it progress.

We vacuum the brain out of an unborn, perfectly normal child, and call it choice.

We read of religious zealots shooting abortionists and call it deserved.

We slander and call it freedom of speech.

We brainwash endlessly and call it advertising.

We kill all the life organisms in the soil of our front and back yards with herbicides and pesticides, and call it beautiful.

We buy our children video games that depict and promote death and sexual deviancy and call it a harmless pastime.

We entice and bleed the poor through government lotteries and call it harmless fun.

We watch situation comedy where every word is devised to titillate and call it entertainment.

We heartlessly destroy works of Nature and can it sporting.

We listen to every conceivable curse word and blasphemy and call it freedom of expression.

We elect our governments with a minority of votes and call it majority-rule.

We fill the waters with life threatening compounds and artificial hormones and call it free enterprise.

We pollute the soil and water with man-made chemicals and call it feeding the poor.

We terminate 3 species each and every minute of every day and call it evolution.

We fight wars for oil companies and greedy individuals and call it protecting our interests.

We invade and modify the genetic material of life itself and call it hope for the future.

We take Christ out of Christmas and call it Xmas.

We listen to the news of potential global tragedy and call it unconvincing.

We ignore all of the above, and much, much more, and call it the good life.
